21st Century Headrush: Ponytail – “Beg Waves”
Baltimore’s Ponytail is less of a band and more of an abstraction. Vocals are cut into non-sensical fragments and the music moves like a steam roller heading dangerously off course (think HEALTH, OOIOO, Boredoms).
A prime example of this would be the 4-headed monster “Beg Waves” from their debut album Ice Cream Spiritual. It’s fun, catchy, and in the end–you won’t even know what hit ya! Weeee!
