'93 til Eternity: Classic 90s Hip Hop Jams
Before Ice Cube was delighting tweens and their parents with Are We There Yet, he co-founded N.W.A and released a slew of solo records. In '92 his album The Predator came out and this remix of "Check Yo Self" still reminds me that "big d's in your mouth is bad for your health."
Two years later, in 1994, Warren G (Dr. Dre's step brother) released a single that would pay for his grandchildren to go to college. Regulators, mount up.
That same year A Tribe Called Quest released the critically and commercially successful Midnight Marauders. This video for "Oh My God" was the only one released from the album in full color. I love how Q-Tip is buying pads for his girl who is "seeing red" at the start. He's so secure in his manhood.
