Allegories of Life
If humans could remember what it was like being born. and more specifically could remember what it sounded like, the first 30 seconds of Allegories‘ “Grass Toboggan” might be that sound. As it progresses from an enveloping of noise into a series of dazzling and sometimes overwhelming twists and turns, in an odd way, it resembles a microcosm of life. Whether or not you think all of that is bullshit, listen anyway, it’s a beautiful song.
