Armand Schaubroeck: They Call Him the RatF*cker and He Sells Fun
Armand also sells swutchblades
Labeled as "The best song that Lou Reed never wrote," by AllMusic, Armand Schaubroeck's 1978 "Ratfucker" is a cross between Lou Reed's Street Hassle and John Carpenter's Assault on Precinct 13...or how about a pissed off, vigilante version of Jonathan Richman? Anyway, this dude is totally insane and he only gets more insane as the song plays out. Welcome to his block.
Stream more on his MySpace Page and check out the whole seedy, illustrated history, courtesy of Julian Cope.
Oh and apparently, fun is not all Armand sells. Dig this video of him when he worked at The House of Guitars in Rochester, NY. "Come on guys, buy their records or I'll kill you:"
I have no idea where to buy his stuff. If you know, email me.
