Home Blitz’s “Hey” is a naive, silly ode to a cute girl. It’s confident and nervous all at once, and sounds like it was recorded in a matter of 5 minutes, which, by the way, if you didn’t know, is awesome. As I have hinted at in the title, the singer does something rather rare during the course of the song, and it makes for the best moment in indie-rock this year. Ok, well maybe not the best, but it made me smile.

If you live in Philly, these guys are playing Philebrity’s Foggy Notion tonight at Silk City for free, so check them out…and bring some gum (I heard he prefers Bubbalicious…old school!)
