Exclusive: Stream New Favourite Sons Demo "Pretty Young Blood"

After the Favourite Sons' phenomenal 2006 debut album Down Beside Your Beauty failed to propel them into their rightly-deserved place atop Mt. Indie Rock Band of the Year, I have been asking myself what happened. Was the music too intense? The lyrics too cryptic?

No matter the reason, the band is climbing that mountain once again, this time with a slightly different approach. The demo for "Pretty Young Blood" is more light on its feet than their previous work. It's a cool, care-free love song with weird yelps and the most straight-forward lyrics that lead singer Ken Griffin has penned to date. But it's the low-grade quality and the loose, improv vibe of the song's current state that makes it even cooler.
