The Battles album Mirrored is definitely one of the year’s best. One of my favorite songs from the album, “Tonto,” has been added to quite a few of my playlist mixes. With loopy guitars, vocal chants and major temp shifts it makes for a spooky prog-rock assault on the ear-drums. Just what I like!

On just released Tonto EP, the infamous remixer extrordinaire, Four Tet, gets his glitch-happy paws on the track. This time, instead of doing some heavy cutting and pasting, he gives the song a dark trance makeover. Perfectly evil for this time of year. Check it:
