HORNY FOR THE FEELIES!

Bad boys: The Feelies in a "time out".

Bad boys: The Feelies in a "time out".

Dorks playing and inventing jangle-pop faster than a teenager pops a boner! The Feelies formed in Hoboken, New Jersey in 1976. Their happy go-lucky single "Fa Ci-La" (download it below!) was released on Rough Trade.

Can't destroy these sweaters.

Their first full-length album appropriately dubbed, Crazy Rhythms (1980) came out on Stiff Records and college rock was never the same. Their influences can be heard everywhere from REM to Weezer (they ripped off the "Crazy Rhythms" cover layout.) These guys had the musical chops to back up their unique spastic style. Check out their ultra-fast rendition of the Stones' "Paint it Black."

Pick up Crazy Rhythms over at Amazon.
