I Saw Neil Young At The Tower Theater Last Night
Even though some drunken Neanderthal's shouted out "Go Eagles," during his acoustic set and the temperature in the building was stuffier than dry sauna, his show was amazing. I found videos of my two favorite songs from last night's show.
"Mellow My Mind" was just like this 1976 version. Banjo and all!
"A Man Needs a Maid" was magical. He played piano, but then a keyboard organ for the choruses. It was mesmerizing.
In no particular order, here are my top three Neil Young albums for today. They change fairly regularly except for Tonight's the Night. Regardless, you should know about all of these and own them!
Tonight's the Night If you don't love this record, you really don't love music. Sorry, I have to be harsh.
On the Beach With songs like "Walk On," "Pocahontas," and "Look Out for My Love" this underplayed record is a gem.
After the Goldrush My parents drilled this one into my brain at a very early age and I'm so terribly thankful they did.
