Ok, I’ll admit it. I’ve put some weight on the past 7 months. My jackets won’t button, my bathrobe doesn’t close, I can’t sit as close to my desk at work…I’m bigger than I have ever been in my entire life. Everyday when I bend over to tie my shoes and I have to grunt to reach my ankles, I can’t help but think of the classic Atom and His Package song, “Meatball.” From his 2002 album A Society of People Named Elihu, “Meatball” is one of many favorites off that record, however it is the only song appropriate to celebrate my expanding waistline.
