To me, everything that The Knife touches turns to gold. So, when I saw this Karin Dreijer’s (singer of The Knife) remix of First Floor Power’s new single “The Jacket” posted on Discobelle, I downloaded it immediately. The original, which you can stream on FFP’s MySpace page, is quality post-punk goodness, but the remix is certifiably seductive. It’s a stripped down, dark-disco workout reminiscent of Throbbing Gristle…and wouldn’t ya know it? It kinda sounds like The Knife. Go figure!
