Micah P. Hinson, who once suffered from a dislocated vertebrae, has returned with an inspired new album entitled, Micah P Hinson and the Red Empire Orchestra. The sweet balladry of the first single, “When We Embraced,” plays like an old-school Johnny Cash snippet as Hinson reflects on love’s unburdened moments that eventually become overshadowed by hard realizations. The subject matter is rather cold, but the arrangements and Hinson’s voice are warm and comforting.
