I must admit, although I do like them, I’m not a huge fan of Pitchfork-favs Deerhunter. However, I am really digging Atlas Sound, a side-project of lead-singer Bradford Cox. Yes, the dude is very thin and rather cold looking, but his new songs, are as warm as can be. Floating somewhere in between Caribou and Animal Collective, “Quarantined” from the highly anticipated upcoming LP Let the Blind Lead Those Who Can See but Cannot Feel, begins as a spaced-out lullaby, but eventually erupts into…Well, I won’t spoil it…

Have a listen and zone out, this stuff is awesome!
