New Stereolab: It’s Alive! Alive!

I’ve been begging and pleading with the sweet baby jeebus above for Stereolab to go back to their energetic days of old, or at least receive a much needed shot of B-12. Pitchfork recently premiered a new track from the groop and appropriately called it “lively”.
“Three Women” from the their upcoming Chemical Chords is a joyously juicy burst of electronics and funk. Although I hope that they will one day drive a huge chunk of 3-chord krautrock straight into the heart of their loungey tendencies, this will certainly due for now.
Chemical Chords is out in the US on 8/19 courtesy of 4AD.
