Pop-Punk-Perfection: The Boys' "First Time"

My awesome friend Jessica, who is now living in Korea, first turned me onto these guys a year or two ago. Formed in 1976, The Boys were to be the first British Punk band to release an album –– even before the Sex Pistols. Record company mishandling and lack of airplay contributed to The Boys lack of success. Regardless, the band recorded, what i feel is, one of the best punk-pop songs of all time.

Imagine if these guys had taken off before The Pistols. The subject matter of "First Time," not to mention its title, may have been considered a metaphor for Punk-Rock's deflowering of society. Ehhhh, that sounds like a bunch of bullshit! Just play it super loud in your car as you do 90 mph down the highway. Oh oh oh!
