Radiohead Unable to Leak Second In Rainbows Disc Before Some Snotty Little Bugger
Surprise, surprise, the second disc of In Rainbows’ two-disc series has leaked onto the web, despite the band’s recent fondness for self-leakage. I have yet to give the whole disc a good listen, but since I don’t plan on reviewing it, I’ll just talk about the 2 songs that hit me right away.
“Bangers and Mash” and “4-Minute Warning,” both live staples from the past tour, make their presence well known here. The former is a 70’s exploitation spazzy-funk fest, a direction I’d love to see the band head in, and the latter is a stripped-down tune that reminds us that Yorke doesn’t always need a ton of musical accompaniment, in order to give us something worthwhile.
