Stand By Your Man: Variations on the Theme
Most people are familiar with Tammy Wynette's original 1968 recording of the country classic Stand by Your Man. If you have never heard the song, here ya go...
What is so great about this song is it's adaptability. So many people have covered it! Donna Summer, Wanda Jackson, the Chipmunks, Tina Turner, Dolly Parton, Elton John and the list goes on.
Tammy's version is a classic but so is Candi Staton's AND the Motorhead Lemmy/Wendy O'Williams duet.
