it’s been a while since we last heard or seen any major output from either Appaloosa or Glass Candy, but now the paris/London duo and the Portland duo, respectively, have come together for an stellar remix collaboration, which sounds as electro-disco-tastic as the image above looks.

When I last posted about Mike Johnson aka Philly’s Ape School it was for the wildly ambitious and brilliantly animated “Wail to God” video. Now he is offering up the EP Ape School Remixes featuring re-workings from his debut album. Two cuts, Andrew Broder’s sedated and Beatles-esque version of “That’s OK”  and Yppah’s texture-laden ”My Intention” redo, are particularly nice.

I’m loving this breezy, chilled out Diplo version of Gucci Mane’s track from the upcoming Mad Decent’s Gucci Mane remix album. It has some really nice synths, and yes, a Mariah Carey sample.
