Titus Andonicus Air Their Garden State Grievances

Titus Andronicus‘ (also the name of Shakespeare’s bloodiest play) self-titled tune from their debut album The Airing of Grievances, fuses the bounce of The Vaselines with the un-corked rage of Bright Eyes, or a lo-fi, cracked out version of Springsteen and the E-Street Band. It’s visceral and intense and even though I’m no longer pissed off at the world, the song is still enjoyable and rather poetic. On the verge of dismantling itself, somehow it all manages to come together in a rollicking anthem of cynicism. Hmm, I wonder what Shakespeare would think…

The Airing of Grievances is available now on Troubleman Unlimited and the band will be clawing it’s way into Philly with our friends Times New Viking on June 26th at Johnny Brenda’s. Hope to se eyou there!
