Video: Sharon Jones And The Dap-Kings, "100 Days, 100 Nights"
Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings are a modern soul group from Brooklyn. I watched their video for "100 Days, 100 Nights" with the pretense that it was a from a new band. However, after viewing, I had to verify this fact since the video's look is so convincingly 1960's.
According to the YouTube page, this video was shot with two vintage TV cameras bought for a mere $100 on Ebay. In addition to their look, Sharon Jones' music sounds just as authentic as the great soul singers of yester-year. This group is not a revival band, but time-travelers crusading in the name of soul.
